Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms
By signing up for Watermelon Time text notifications, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not sign up.

What this service is
Watermelon Time is a free, independent hobby project run by a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Using local weather data and web camera, it determines when sunset conditions over the Sandia Mountains are likely to produce the "Watermelon Time" glow, and sends subscribers a single text notification when that happens.

Eligibility
This service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you may only sign up with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Messaging
You will receive at most one message per day, only when conditions are detected. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact Bryan who runs the project via email IsItWatermelonTime@gmail.com

No warranty
This is a free hobby project, not a commercial or guaranteed service. Notifications are based on weather and camera data that may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable at times. We make no guarantee that a message will be sent, received, or accurate, and the service may change or be discontinued at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watermelon Time and its operator are not liable for any damages, losses, or missed experiences arising from use of, or inability to use, this service.

Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
